Trash Picked Up: 9 Pounds / 4.082 Kilograms

Back on August 11th, 2024, Daniel Riky Gomez & Reina Tsunoda brought Project Sura and the Hiduplah Hati Indonesia Foundation (HHI) together to collaborate on Project Sura’s first Trash Walk in Jakarta, Indonesia!

While Daniel & Reina are both the founders of Hiduplah Hati Indonesia, HHI also provided some extra hands during and after the Trash Walk.

Route

This Trash Walk took place in North Cipete, in the areas around Hiduplah Hati Indonesia’s two bases of operation.

This route winded through streets, alleyways, a Mosque’s parking lot, and even a local music event.

This Trash Walk was a great success with the Trash Walk Team collecting a total of 9 Pounds (4.082 Kilograms) of trash. This trash would have likely remained on the streets, or even make its way into drainage channels if it wasn’t collected. Moreover, the Trash Walking Team interacted with various locals, telling them what the team was doing, encouraging them to keep their trash off the streets, and some even helped out by handing over single use waste that they were just about to throw away.
